     During the month of September LIFE Foundation and more than 100 of the leading life insurance companies and industry groups join in an education campaign about life insurance. Why?  There are a growing number of people in this country who have inadequate or no life insurance at all.  According to LIMRA thirty percent of U.S. households have no life insurance and today there are eleven million fewer households that have life insurance than there were six years ago.

It can also pay off a home, fund an education and keep a business alive.  These things help relieve a family of financial burdens while they grieve.                  Afforbable Care Act ( Obamacare)

     This controversial healthcare law is about to enter another important phase. Even though the law went into effect in 2010, many people still do not understand it. We are going to try and simplify the important parts of the law that the general public should know. The law has four objectives:

Protect the Rights of Consumers

  - No more lifetime benefit limits

  - No more denial of coverage for preexisting conditions

More Affordable Coverage

  - Lower premiums through tax credits and competition  

     between insurance carriers

  - Carriers must spend at least 80% of premium on insured 

      care or improvements to care or rebate money to client.

  - Carriers must publically justify premium increases of   

      10% or more before they can go into effect.

Better Access to Coverage

  -  Children under 26 can remain on their parents insurance

  -  Free benefits for preventive care (no deductibles or co-

       payments for things such as screeninngs).

Stengthen Medicare

  - Lower prescription drugs

  - Free benefits for preventive care

  - Lessen fraud
